Installation guide
This program requires model files to work; the recommended model is 3.4 GB. A downloader is included.
The installer usually asks for administrator rights. Approving the prompt is optional – see the installation guide for details.
Most changes in this release are related to performance.
The installer now includes Benchmark.exe program which measures transcribe performance
across different parameters, and updates the defaults accordingly.
Achtung! Please uninstall the previous version (control panel, “Uninstall a program”) before installing this update.
In preparation for launch, I have renamed the registry key to reflect the company’s legal name.
To remove the old key, open Registry Editor regedit.exe and delete HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Vrmac Software
From this version onwards, all componants of the software use the Vrmac Softver key for software licences, preferences, and other persistent data.
